Hair Transplant in Delhi? The Cost Might Surprise You
If you are thinking about getting a hair transplant, many questions can arise about the process and results after the surgery. Although hair transplant costs in Delhi are pretty affordable, many people still need to learn about the treatment before taking the massive step of getting a hair implant.
At Clinic Dermatech, we are always keen to help our patients, which is why we have pulled together a list of some common questions that we receive from our customers and answered them for you!
When and how can I remove the crust after a hair transplant?
At Clinic Dermatech, we ask our patients to come to the clinic the next day, where we remove the bandage and provide the first head wash. We also give instructions on how to wash the head in the initial two weeks. Ensure to avoid rubbing, picking, or scratching the transplanted area for two weeks at least so that grafts can get fixed to the scalp. Washing your head ensures that the scalp remains clean and the scabs/crust remains soft and gets properly healed.
After ten days of the transplant, you can come to the clinic to clean the scabs and remove crusts. If you cannot visit the clinic, we advise gently rubbing the scalp. Avoid removing all the crust in one day by vigorous rubbing as it can cause problems.
Do hair transplants leave scars?
This is one of the most common questions that might strike the minds of hair transplant patients. Hair transplant is a surgical procedure, so people think it will leave scars that may not look good if you keep short hair. That said, the visibility of scarring actually depends on the surgeon’s experience and the hair transplant method.
With FUE technique, you may see tiny dots scars in the donor area that get healed within a few days after surgery, thus zero visibility of any scar.
On the other hand, FUT technique involves extracting strips from the donor area, where you may notice a linear scar. But again, it totally depends on the skills of the surgeon. At Clinic Dermatech, our surgeons close the wound meticulously using the trichophytic closure techniques. This way, the hair grows between the scar, and the resulting minimal scar is barely visible.
How can I avoid the chances of infection after a hair transplant?
Like every surgery, a hair transplant also comes with some chances of infections, but they can be minimized by keeping several things in mind. At Clinic Dermatech, we have strict sterilization and disinfection protocols. After removing the bandage, we will instruct you to wash your head regularly to keep the area clean and scabs soft. It would be best to avoid excessive rubbing, scratching, and massaging the treated area initially. Also, it would help if you took postoperative antibiotics as advised by the doctor for maximum recovery.
Is FUE hair transplant right for me?
Recently, FUE and FUT transplant has gained tremendous popularity due to improved modern techniques, and only the best hair transplant clinics in Delhi offer these services.
FUE does not cause a big linear scar, which is why many people choose this technique. In this method, the follicles are taken out one by one using powered micro punches, which cause tiny dot-like scars but are almost invisible. In addition, healing time and discomfort associated with the FUE technique are relatively less, so you can resume working early compared to the FUT technique.
When the scalp donor area is inadequate, and you are required to use extended areas such as the chest, beard, or back, then the hair transplant can be done by the FUE technique only.
Also, if you like short hair, FUE is suitable for you as there is no scar. Your surgeon will consider several things ad then decide which hair transplant technique is right for you.
Is hair transplant expensive?
The hair transplant cost depends on several factors:
1. The method of transplant—FUE or FUT.
2. The number of hair follicles or grafts transplanted.
3. Nature and severity of the problem.
4. Surgeon’s experience and infrastructure may add to some cost.
5. The hair transplant clinic with the best results.
Analyzing the medical management, long-term medicine cost, and the uncertainty of the benefit may cause loss of finances. For example, once you stop the medicine, you may experience hair loss and reach the same pretreatment situation. This recurring cost might be expensive.
What the common hair transplant side effects?
Hair transplant/hair loss treatment is a safe procedure with a few easily manageable side effects if performed properly. Some of the most common and short-term side effects are pain, swelling, itching, scabs/crusting, bleeding, and it goes away within a few days.
Some people may also experience specific side effects in the donor area, such as scarring, keloid, and donor area effluvium.
